I seem to have an odd miss whenever the motor starts to see a heavy load, and it is more prominent in higher RPMs.

I get a reset every now and then, but mostly it feels like spark blowout. My plugs are gaped to .02, and I just replaced the coil pack today, so that is not it.

Every time it stumbles my TPS, coolant, RPM, and I imagine a few other readings go crazy in MLV. I'm thinking maybe adding a few grounds, but I am clueless as far as any other fixes.

Attached is my log and tune, and I would really appreciate any help as I am heading back to Orlando tomorrow (6 hours) and would like to drive the car back rather than ride with a friend.

 

I see it - you're getting RPM spikes. Check for a problem with the CAS, the tach input circuit, or the wiring that connects them.

 

Have you performed the Hi Res cap mod?

Have you change the resistors for the miata specific spark mod?

Have you thanked Jesus lately?

 

I have done the cap mod, but not the new ignition circut.


My dad suggested getting new plug wires.

IDK?

 

Do the spark mod first, its 99 cents vs 40 for plug wires.
