Update: i change the igniter and put in new plug ngk bkr6e-gp and the car started
Then i put back the megasquirt with the original tune. I ajusted the req fuel for my 440cc the car running good except i aleays need to keep my foot on the throttle a little bit or i hear a relay click and the car just stop even if im at 3k rpm once i remove my feat on the throttle i hear that click an the car just stop |
fuel pump; you need to make it run.

well fuel pump is running isnt it??? I can start the car. If the fuel pump wasnt running i would be able to make it start.. More info about that if you think my fuel pump stop running? I would say why and how can i fix that |
you have the AFM in place?

Nope im running with the Megasquirt inside build map sensor. |
and what are you doing to run the fuel pump on your 1.6L when you've removed the AFM?

well I removed the ST SIGN fuse then I plug in the megasquirt. The previous owner of that Megasquirt didnt any issue with making the fuel pump running. The megasquirt is build to run in without modification to my harness.. I dont know why am i having such issue with it then |
Is your MS built with the high side current driver outputting to 1C on the harness?
You need to understand that it requires a certain amount of silliness to get the fuel pump running on a 1.6L with MS. I can't remember if Blaen's unit had these nessecary steps taken on his or not. Pull the ST-SIGN fuse is only useful if the unit has the high side driver cirucit built inside to run the fuel pump through 1C. Otherwise, it may have been built to send a ground to 2O on the AFM connector and needs to be jumped to ground. remember, you have a custom built MS unit, this is why you needed to maintain the custom tune loaded into the unit, just as the harness and wiring may not be built to any sort of standard. So these are important questions to ask you. |
Brainy....Braaiinnnyyy.....Listen to his symptoms, not his theorized reasons why something is wrong!
Steven: You aren't controlling the IACV and are trying to idle with insufficient air - either you need to get the IACV working, or you need to increase how much air bypasses the throttle body via the idle mixture screw. Fuel pump doesn't have a goddamn thing to do with why your engine isn't getting enough air, and the fuel pump stuff is perfectly fine if you removed ST_SIG |
Hears a click, motor stops running, suggests to me the fuel realy is getting tripped off somehow.
I only wired maybe 2-3 units with the high side driver, I wasn't sure if yours was one when I fixed your harness. Otherwise I wire the fuel pump through the AFM connector and it requires a jumper wire in order to work. But, I was assuming the AFM was still acutally in place and allowing the fuel pump to run, and I was eventually, in a very long and drawn out way, going to get to lack of airflow causing it to close the flapper and the fuel pump shutting off. i have method to my annoyance. |

idle control algorithm is set to NONE, is that supposed to be like that?? |

i show you guys a video with my IAC valve set to PWN closed loop, no changes |
stock 1.6 TPS? still plugged in? unplug it.
|
^
Did you unplug the TPS like it says to do in every 89-93 writeup (That I've read, at least), Steven? |
