tunerstudio for MAC
I found directions somewhere online for how to run it. It involved opening up the command window and creating some directories, etc. etc. It was a huge pain in the *** and didn't really work very well. I just downloaded the windows version and ran it through bootcamp.

It allows you to use Windows on Mac. I use VMWare Fusion, does the same trick by allowing you to run virtual operating systems.
I've been through the multiple google searches and instructions which have worked for some people, but I've never been able to get it working for Mac. It involves a bunch of geek work that I don't quite understand for Macs, if it even works.

I've used it on my mac, it works.
Since a mac running MacOS X is really just a flavor of UNIX, Phil treats it about the same as he does his linux install. I just pop open a terminal and run TunerStudio.sh after extracting the software and it works fine.
That said, the mac is my work computer, so I don't tune on it unless I forget to bring my own linux laptop with me.

I also want to say that TS would run fine, getting it to communicate with my MS has always been the problem. I have always just been to lazy to really get it working. That will change next week.

Just double-click on TunerStudioMS.jar. That'll open it right up.
Or you can rename TunerStudio.sh to TunerStudio.command. That will allow it to be double-clicked from the Finder. If you do this, you'll need to open TunerStudio.sh with a text editor first, and edit the path to TunerStudio. In my case, it looks like this:
