Unreliable engine starting?
Mine runs the same, that area after it catches where it runs rough for a few seconds is your "fixed ASE map/time" you can set it to whatever kpa and alter the time for cold starts at any temp under 80degC to help things.
And the MSQ.
I had this thing dialed in to factory like running and starting on the LoRes code. For some reason I had to make things MUCH richer for HiRes. It is still a work in progress. Wideband starts out around 12.5 - 13 when ice cold.

turn baro corrections off under engine constants.
I'd also play with your fixed MAP settings in ASE, try fooling with the MAP value and see what number fuels the best.
Do those settings change between HiRes and LoRes code? (Firmware)
As a sanity / reality check I reloaded the LoRes code and my older dialed in map. The car starts and runs just as good as factory once again. Of course it wasn't as cold today.

Hard to tell if it did anything beacuse it was awesome ( warm ) here today and the motor takes long to cool off.
I notice that my motor goes into like fast idle every time I start it at least for a few secs even if it is fully warm.
Can that be changed so that it does not race as much once the engine is hot ?

So basically, when your coolant is hotter than your specified temp, it WONT use the fixed MAP period.
Even though you think you are starting the engine while it is still hot, the coolant is likely dropping back into the zones of triggering ASE and fixed MAP values, especially if your running the PnP coolant temp value which is high at 80degC. Remember your coolant while the engine is fully warmed up is going to ~95degC, it'll only take 10-15 mins for that to drop back to under 80degC when the engine is shut off and trigger your fixed MAP setting.

Today I also want to play with the AE to take advantage of a VTPS that I installed a while back.
I increased from 80 to 95 degrees next to "Use Fixed ASE/MAP when coolant temperature"
With the coolant temperature around 198 degrees I shut off and restarted but it races again right after warm start up.
Could it be something under idle settings like the Min DC value or something ?

If you datalog a start you'll see that for the first few seconds after start it continues to use the cranking DC for the idle valve. So if you set the cranking DC setting lower it wouldn't race as much after start, but it might also not start as well... So might just be something you need to live with.

A while back I was trying to prevent a sagging of RPMs between shifts - I increased the idle DC.
Well I've had a play with my settings and things have improved a little. Sadly I don't think we'll see temps as low as they were a few ago (-6degC and lower) so I'll never really know for sure about my cranking PWs at that temp range.
One thing that has really helped alot for me is reducing the cranking advance back to 12deg, set my ASE fixed map for 3 seconds at 84kpa and also make sure that my spark map at 84kpa is also set to 12deg at idle regions and raise the cranking RPM to 450. This means that during cranking my timing is always fixed at 12deg, even when the engine catches slightly and triggers ASE my fixed map value ensures that spark is still firing at 12deg and will do for 3 seconds after the engine has caught.
I've not heard any kicking back sounds yet and cranking for me at 12deg is loads faster too.
