I tried using the walk through in the FAQ but ran into problems with the TPS it calls for (looked at Autozone and Advance). I ended up searching through the boxes of TPSs in Autozone till I found one that matched the one pictured in the FAQ.

That's the TPS I asked for and most of them had it in stock. Only problem is the two prongs in the center of the hole aren't there. In their computers it shows it there, but every Autozone I went to brings out the TPS and it is completely different from what is pictured. Advance Auto parts carries the same thing and has the same problem.... Around here anyway.

I can actually go to Autozone and take a picture of the "Wells TPS201" they carry around here and show what I'm talking about. Maybe I'm blind or something.

In the AEM section, I have a write up that uses a Nissan 240SX tps. It's easy to find, and has a wire harness coming out of it.

Is anyone still using the automatic Miata's TB assembly for a VTPS? I already got one from another member...

but that instruction are for a DIY MegaSquirt.
I supose that you need to mix the two instructions. That one and the one of the oficial website (removing resistors and jump some parts).

Thanks.

?? What you mean?

This are the colors how to solder the together.
This is working for the Megasquirt i use.

The HOW Do on a MSPNP you will finde on MSPNP.COM Documentation Sektion 5 or 6. If you folow that instructions, then all is working fine.

I am not sure what you mean with DIY Megasquirt? What should that be?
The DIYPNP?

In the link you give in post number 13# the creator of the post (Joe Perez) write "This is for DIY-style Megasquirts..."

Another question.
Joe Perez wrote:
"If you are using the TPS from a '90-'93 automatic car, the wiring at the MS is the same, and the wiring at the TPS is as follows: The red / black wire of the TPS goes to the red wire of the car. The green / red wire of the TPS goes to the green / white wire of the car, and the black / green wire of the TPS goes to the black / green wire of the car."
But... In my car the (stupid)TPS has 3 wires and the VTPS from the 90-93 Automatic has 4 wires.
Maybe he explain, but my english is very basic.
In the official documentation says:

"Wiring up a potentiometer type TPS

The stock switch-type throttle position sensor does not provide very much useful information to MegaSquirt, so it is not connected. If you want to modify the MSPNP to use a potentiometer type TPS, here’s what you need.

First, remove the TPS stabilizer resistors, R6 and R7. These are the "through-hole" resistors on the daughter board, not the surface mount R6 and R7 resistors on the V3.57 daughter board. Then you will need to connect the TPS signal and reference wires to the Miata harness. There are four holes that access pins on the Miata connector on the underside of the MSPNP board. Solder a jumper from the 5V VREF hole to 1N, and another jumper from the TPS hole to the 2L hole. This will bring the MegaSquirt’s connections out to the Miata wiring harness.

At the throttle position switch plug, you will have three wires. If you have modified the MSPNP as described, the red will supply a 5 volt reference voltage, the green and white wire will take the signal back to the MegaSquirt, and the black and green wire will provide a ground.

If you’re not sure which connection on your TPS goes to which wire, check it with an ohmmeter. Observe the resistance as the throttle opens and closes. Each pair of pins will behave differently:

The resistance between the 5 volt and ground pins will remain constant.

The resistance between the ground and signal pins will be low with the throttle closed and high with the throttle wide open.

The resistance between the 5 volt and signal pins will be high with the throttle closed and low with the throttle wide open.

Using these rules, you can establish which pin on the TPS goes to which wire."

I canīt see anything about 4 wires.
Please help me about.
