Default VVT duty causing ~-250 in Injector Timing?

Good morning everyone,

I am running into a weird thing with my VVT swap. I'm using a MS3 PNP Pro running the 1.5.1 firmware. I am using TunerStudio MS v3.1.02.

Can anyone help me figure out why my injector timing changes from ~360 to ~130 when VVT duty kicks in? It only happens once and doesn't appear to show up again. I've checked my VVT settings and nothing appears to jump out at me. I found this thread here that is very similar where the recommendation was to turn it off... but looking at other basemaps and tunes nobody else seems to have to disable it.

The link below contains my tune and datalogs (tune also attached). You should be able to see the change in Injector Timing between 8-10 seconds on my latest log. I have additional logs that show the same thing happening when I originally had minimum CLT to 140F.

I appreciate the help!

1.51 beta 7 has a bug fix in the injector timing code, not sure if this is what was fixed, but might be worth a look.

Edit: 1.5.2 beta 7

Hey @Ted75zcar, thanks for the heads up! I'm using the official 1.5.1 release firmware found on https://www.msextra.com/downloads/.

So I'm not sure if that bug exists in the official release vs beta 7. I'll take a look.

Thanks!

Just read the release notes for 1.5.2 beta 7. Interesting... I reached out to the DIY folk to see if they think what I'm running into is related.

Thanks @Ted75zcar! Matt Cramer recommended going to the latest beta and then providing my update in their dev forum. I'll give it a shot and report back.

Hey y'all, just to close the loop on this. I tried the 1.5.2 beta 7 firmware and it appears to have solved the issue with the sudden change in Injector Timing.
