Default VVT Swap Start Up/Settings

Followed the megathread VVT swap into NA chassis thread. Engine is in, and with a LOT of difficulty cranking it eventually ran; once started idles pretty decently for an engine with who knows what for timing settings. The settings that the car started on are from a trubokitty basemap for an NB2 motor, with one exception:

The one exception was changing Cam input from "MS3X Cam In" to "JS10". Before making that change I had no spark at the coils. After changing it, as stated above, it started, but not until after a LONG cranking period (10+ seconds) and some need to pump the pedal and try again.

I found this thread: https://www.miataturbo.net/megasquir...ttings-102124/ and changed Flip Polarity on Hi-Res Tach/Cam from Inverted to Normal but the engine didn't start thereafter. Haven't tried to start it after reverting that change to Inverted.

MS3Basic, VVT Motor with flat top, stock injectors, 97 chassis.

Are these settings correct? What other settings should I be looking at?

so much depends on how the motor is set up. but if its starts, it works right?

I use spark you use MS3X spark. I don't know what the difference is
cam input im using CMP
Im using MS3 1.5.2 release which is perhaps where the difference in those settings is.

the long period for cranking is probably about the fuel and the idle valve. check the base timing if you haven't already done so.
look at how much fuel is going in when starting to crank
also about where your Idle valve is positioned while cranking and perhaps your idle screw position ..... but from what I know or understand you're not supposed to **** around with the idle screw.
Ive gone more aggressive on the idle screw and then adjusted the idle valve according to where the idle screw was positioned as I didnt know where the idle screw is supposed to be ..... maybe i got lucky
