What value bias resistor to use with a GM oil temp sensor?
Hi folks,
I have the GM oil temp sensor (from diyautotune) with a 3K bias resistor going in to analogue input 1 of my MS3Pro PnP in a 99 NB. I have been trying to calibrate it using hot 86 C and cold 12C water and a mercury thermometer. And am using the "GM" curve in Tuner Studio.
Trouble is, I can line up the cold end to within 1 degree, but then the hot end will be anywhere between 6 to 15 degrees out - or - I line up the hot end, but the cold end is out by 6-10 degrees.
The only thing I can think of is my bias resistor is wrong. Does anyone happen to know what the bias resistor value should be for a GM oil temp sensor?
