I think i had ts set at a different map than what the ecu was running, and it was trying to decide which to display and connect?

not sure.

Do you know why you needed to add fuel all of a sudden?

If your state has changed to Summer mix gas, AFR's should have gone rich, not lean.

^no idea. I have been driving this car all along, and this ms3 is possessed.

Literally was at 11.5-11.8 wot at redline, then i connect the laptop, finally comes on line, and poof, its 15.8afr at wot. yikes. I guess 15.8-11.8 is 4, so there is my simple math at it's best.

I just added fuel to correct for the possession, and now its a hunky dory 12.9-13:1 wot at redline.

I would hazard to guess utah isn't on summer gas yet. it has snowed the past few days, and its in the 30s right now with windchill

It moves to Summer mix when the EPA tells it to.

Oh ok, then maybe, but i didnt fill up between the two wildly different afrs. I was driving at 11.8, then i plugged the laptop in, and poof 15.8.

I'm only worried it will switch somehow again, but I think it will not switch as long as I don't fiddle with the tune. When I do plug the laptop back in, I'll just have to be careful, and remember to watch the afr gauge and make fuel adjustments if I need to.

I'm sure this is just a bandaid, but I sold the potential solution already (another rev built ms3) so I got to work with this one.
