A little more info might be helpful. Is this megatunix for windows or linux? If it is linux, what distro?

No, THERE is your problem . Seriously though I might be able to help you out, after all, OSX is just BSD in a pretty dress . Try running it in a terminal and post up the exact error message.

so after downloading all the other stuff such as darwinports, and the newest X code from apple along with having x11, it asks that I copy this and put it in terminal:

sudo port -d selfupdate
sudo port install gtkglext libglade2

and usually this comes up:

DEBUG: couldn't open "/opt/local/var/db/dports/sources/rsync.rsync.darwinports.org_dpupdate1/base/config/dp_version": no such file or directory
while executing
"open [file join $dp_base_path config/dp_version] r"
(procedure "darwinports::selfupdate" line 45)
invoked from within
"darwinports::selfupdate [array get global_options]"
Error: /opt/local/bin/port: selfupdate failed: couldn't open "/opt/local/var/db/dports/sources/rsync.rsync.darwinports.org_dpupdate1/base/config/dp_version": no such file or directory

now what wel lthis time i tried it and it did a lot more lines of stuff but altimately the same response? what do i do?

Hah, sorry dude, didn't mean to upset you with the noob comment, just my hatred for windows flaring up . Anywho though, how much of that path exists on your system? Is /opt/local/var/db/dports/sources/rsync.rsync.darwinports.org_dupdate1/base/config a real directory? If not, how much of that path actually exists?

Try TunerStudioMS, you can get it here. I have not tried it myself in OSX, but theoretically it should work.

I don't know what finishing school is? Is that like high school? That collaberation of thoughts were horribly written. I apologize. Lol

I'm a Mac guy, (as a result of being a PC tech ) but from what I've read Megatune is far superior, so I'm just going to attempt to revive an old laptop or buy a netbook and run XP lite or something.

I know this doesn't help your particular problem but I'm just saying it's probably MUCH simpler and you'll probably have better luck getting help on here with the Winblows setup.
