Default Will the MSM PNP pro work on a 99 NB block.

I recently blew my MSM engine up and there's a hole in the block but the head is still good. If I grab a 99 NB block with an MSM head would my megasquirt pro unit work? The reason I ask is because diyautotune made this megasquirt specifically for the MSM engine. Would I have to switch out the sensors?

If I remember correctly, you may need to feed the oil to the turbo differently with a NB block. Cannot help you on the MS, but it probably depends on the year of the MSM.

Difference is in the wiring, not the engine, so the ecu will work just fine.
NB indeed has no oil feed. You'll need to tap into the oil pressure sender.
Also need to swap the sump or you have no return.

Okay so I won't have to buy another megasquirt that's good news, and yes I was aware of oil feed. Thanks man

Yeah drilling and tapping is a give in since the 99 was naturally aspirated but the year of the MSM is 04 and I'm using a 99 block none of those use VVT so I don't see why the unit wouldn't work.

Drilling and tapping is possible but I would only advise it for water. I did the same thing and for water you only need to drill less than 1" deep. The oil gallery on the contrary is about 4" deep in the engine. You're gonna need a lot of luck to end up in it ...
