    If your cable has 3 conductors plus one shield, you can connect the 3 wires of the crank sensor to it, and wire the other end to the CAS connector. Double check that the CAS connector provides the 5V or 12V (whichever it may be) that the CKP sensor wants. Ground the shield at one end, any end, to the head, block, or chassis.

    If your shielded cable has only two conductors plus the shield, you can use the shield to "carry" the ground signal from the CAS connector to the CKP. Do not ground it anywhere else.
