Can WI increase the HP potential of a turbo?
I recently installed a basic WI kit with a Hobbs pressure switch. Since then I've bumped back up my base timing, and increased boost to ~11 psi from 8 with only happiness to report. I also noticed my EGT's while in boost hang a wee bit lower than when I never ran the WI kit.
Looks like I'll be joining the WI club soon. https://www.miataturbo.net/forum/t35254/
I will do my homework and wont ask any stupid questions other than, are there good Vs bad kits? I looked at Devil's own but I also saw some ebay kits for alot cheaper.
Thanks.

I know Corky's book has a real good section on this exact topic, I think the quote I am looking for goes something like "if you have to run with water injection, you dont have the proper turbo unit for your application" if I remember correctly.
Im not a brave enough man to do it, but best of luck to you, that turbo is as you said - crap anyways, so why not get the most out of it.

Personally I think if you have to run with water injection, you dont have the proper fuel for your application. Some of us are stuck with shitty 91 back wash from other states.
That's exactly my problem, even with 93 no matter how much timimg I pull I can't run 18-19 psi without knock. And finding race gas every time I need gas isn't an option.
