Default WI setups and impressions

I thought that we should make a thread about the WI setups that we are running currently and allow people to see what the advantages to running WI. I will start, I am currently running the basic Devil's own kit from WOT's group buy. I am only at a bout 5.5psig right now on my greddy setup, and the WI is keeping the intake temps less than ambient. I have my timing set to 12 btdc as a baseline, and am pulling only 1 degree except for one spot, 3500 rpm's. I got some movement of the oil pressure gage, so I backed it down. The car at only this low boost feels just crazy.

Even though I got in on the group buy the other day I have not installed the system due to some wiring meltdown. The dash is off the car and it will probably be 3 months before I get everything back together and have the new Devil's Own WI running.

Hopefully my old setup info from when I was running a SuperCharger will give somone some tips on DIY. If not, oh well, it's the best I can do right now <G>:

Soon as I get my shiny brass checkvalve I can add my .02. Rest of the system is in and running.

I think with the nature of the Procharger that a controller or maybe just a higher activation point would help. I could also send you out a 10 Gph nozzle to see if that helps.

it's already clicking in at 3000 RPM.

I'm probably going to sell the car anyway so I'm not too worried about it.

at the rate they're depreciating I'll be lucky to get my initial 20k back out even with the SC.

Once the 4.5L stroker is in the jeep and broken in I'll probably toss it on ebay.

this thread seems to have gone off topic.

please continue with your results and write-ups from the DO WI kit.

I am watching with interest.

However from the link ealier in the post if your making less power then surely WI is crap?
