i bought the seat from OG racing, brand new, not second hand.
don't know where you saw that...

if you're willing to buy the rail/slider, i'm ready.
who is going to buy a base/rail without a seat? Nobody i know. They usually purchase the whole thing at once.

they were just saying the second you took the wrapping off the seat and bolted it in the car, it became used.

kinda like as soon as a new car rolls off the lot, 4k is gone cause its now used.

but anyway glws

PS: I wouldn't pay shipping on a new one cause there is a Sparco warehouse 2 towns over lol

Anybody with some small time fabrication skills isn't going to buy a bracket, they are super easy to make. I bought this momo gtrs for $120 bucks, had a momo slider from a previous seat for $25 and built a bracket with some flat bar and my welder for less than $15.

I was saying it was second hand on your part, the purchaser of the seat would be purchasing it second hand from you. I once purchased a 8" lift kit for my Dodge Ram, being the perfectionist that I am I wanted to do it right, so I wanted to do the gears at the same time. I never had enough money to do them, so I sold the rims, tires, and lift kit I purchased all for about 70% of what I paid for all of it. It was all BRAND NEW never left the packaging. Something like a $1200 lift I got $800, wheels and tires that were over $1000 I got $550.

i wasn't arguing with anyone about a base being home made.

sure, anyone with a welder and flat steel and a bit of creativity can make anything.

i chose to buy a base/slider because i wanted my seat not only to recline, but i wanted it all to bolt in and slide back and forth perfectly...the $150 or whatever the part of the slider/base cost, saved me a lot of headache, if i had to get someone to fabricate them for me.

it's all about simplicity, i wanted to spend no more than 5 minutes to bolt the seat in and out.

The base/sliders are specific to this seat (not sure if they'll fit other Sparcos), which is why i'm reluctant to sell just the seat.

* And not everyone can drive a seat that sits so upright like the one in your pic.
I for one would rather not drive if i had to sit at a 90% angle while driving my DAILY DRIVER.

I want a seat to have comfort be soft enough for LONG rides and recline. I also want it to have bolstered sides to hold me in.
The seat is perfect for all those things. It is not a race seat and never claimed it to be. Again, on a race car, i would look at nothing BUT a race seat. On a daily driver i would never use a race seat. I've done it in the past and regret it every time.
