1.6 top mount manifold, divorced/diverted downpipe, and test pipe
Thats the crazy part, until the last couple days it wasn't running that rich. Well I didn't think it was that rich. The Exhaust shop took care of me, they gave me a new cat under warranty, and re-ran my exhaust to get rid of a annoying knock and vibration I was getting while idling, or driving. Definitely good guys who stand behind their work.
Thanks, yeah it's pretty exciting, and just a little crazy at times.
PM'd you about sponsorship.
I'd love to ride in your miata. Bring it by when you get a chance.

Well, here's the finished ramhorn manifold:

Thanks. This one is pretty interesting, too:

One day, I'd like to do a dyno shoot out comparing different manifold designs. I'm curious to see how much peak power and spool are affected with log/short tubular/equal length manifolds in a mild, 225hp-275hp setup. Maybe it'll happen by Spring.
wherestheboost, let me know when you're ready.

If you could do equal length and some swirl action (primaries arrange clockwise/counterclockwise in firing order...) I think that'd be the cake... but yeah, that's annoying to do. I like the last one you did - sweeet
Cut me those damn decals and I'll think about it
Wherestheboost, do you have a pic of such manifold? You mean separate pulse/twin scroll?
That last manifold isnt mine BTW. This is what I've been working on (had to show it off before shipping to the owner
):

I keep coming back to this thread and ogling that ramhorn manifold.
This is months down the road, but how possible would it be to make a tubular manifold to replace a BEGi 1.6 cast manifold? If it was made to fit the same setup, would it still flow better or would the improvement be marginal?

So wait...this is all mig? What's the thickness of the tubing you're using? ...and how big is your welder? Maybe there's hope for the little mig I have at home
Umm... as far as the separate twin/scroll thing - yeah, nothing that complicated. I just meant the order of the pipes as they entered the collector.
Let's say in this image...

From this view...going counter clockwise from the lower left... you'd have 1-4-3-2. But the firing order is... 1-3-4-2 (right? I forget). But anyways, what I meant was simply making the order in the collector match the firing order. The so called "swirl" from header design stuffs... that and equal length.
