Default 1.6L Longblock $200

1.6L Longblock (shortnose)
To my knowledge the engine was the orignal which had 170k on it when pulled. Ran great other than the front & rear main seals were shot and then when the waterpump started to go I replaced the engine with one I rebuilt. Little dirty; due to be expected with that mileage but would be a great for a rebuild or BUILD!

The following items are broke/missing:
- Front & Rear Main Seals
- Waterpump
- Thermostat Housing
- Throttle Body
- Two lifters out of the head

The following items are included:
- Coilpacks
- Wiring
- Sensors
- Flywheel
- Clutch
- Brand New Dakin (Exedy) OEM Clutch
- etc.

I have means & forklift to package and ship it correctly.

Price: $200 + shipping ($95-up; about $150 average)

Sure I can do that....barrow my bosses truck to transport it you'd just have to have a few buddies, engine hoist, etc. to get it out. I'd just charge you for the gas there and back...say 20 bux. $220 delivered

NP...just let me know. You don't happen to have a diff or know someone with one local? Need a 1.6L but if they have a 1.8 swap for a decent price I'd be interested.

Dan I have a whole 1.6 dif assembly. Maybe we can work something out for the head? Just an idea. What's up with the missing lifters?

I'd almost rather sell the whole long block together but may not. My buddy mike (local to me) was building a motor for his miata and they found that two of his lifters were stuck or something....don't remember it was a while back. He was suppost to replace them and you know how that goes. I can stop and talk to Stew at BSI racing and possible get 2 more to replace the missing ones but nothing for sure. Is the diff you have open, or etc?

Next week I'll be going on vacation to Tennesse and also stopping for a few days around Atlanta (45min or so away). So I could bring it up with me.

Well, if you're driving up this way, I'll work something out with you.
I don't want/need the block, but maybe someone else does.

I'll advertize the rear as open. It is from a 91, pulled at ~60k, turbo for 10k. It's been drained, but it had Royal Purple in it, and it came out looking good.

I don't think the lifters are expensive at all, new from the dealer. If you wrangle some up, cool, but if not, it doesn't much matter.

Ben,

Wound up finding a guy local to me that had an entire 1.6L drivetrain minus the tranny for $40 bux...lol... Just wanted it out of his garage so I'm picking it up tomarrow. Was curious though if you had any other parts that you may want to trade up with? If not I still may pull the head to trade for the diff as a spare....let me know.
