Default 1.8 injectors Tan Top

Just received the injectors from Hot95MiataGuy and they are not in the best of shape. maybe 1 out of the 3 look fine. 1 has the green peice that goes around the nozzle totally craked and the other 2 look a lil chewed at the tips of plastic not the nozzle itself. I'm waiting for a response to see if he will give me a credit but if not I will sell the single best injector for $10.00 and the other 3 for another $10.00 just need some money back. Bryan

you could always have them cleaned and flow tested. all the "chewed" parts would be replaced... how do you know they are bad?

Thanks for the info kgp. I am not saying they are bad, I did not know they would replace the green plastic that surrounds the nozzle as one of them is cracked. I just don't want to put any more money in to them. If someone wants to get them and have them cleaned and flowtested then this would be a great deal...

Way to call out the seller before you're even sure what you're talking about...

It is standard practice after buying used injectors to get them cleaned and flow tested at the buyer's expense. Trivial items like caps would be replaced during this servicing. If, and only if, the injector cleaning company finds one of the injectors to be faulty would the seller owe the buyer anything.

Wow didn't know I'd have to spend money out of pocket to check stated good injectors to be abe to get anything back.. who here spent money to get stock 1.8 inj. checked out after buying them? I for 1 don't plan on spending any more cash as I'm already out $40. then pay more for checking them? why when the guy himself bought some higher flow for just $60.00. he knew the damage and didn't disclose any. I didn't make a thread to call the guy out, just to get some money back by selling them. I could alw
ys be an *** and file a paypal dispute or chargeback but I choose to try n work something out first even at my loss. where have all the ethics gone? blame me for expecting something I was paying for and in the condition expected.

back to main topic. please buy this set of injectros for just $20 then pay to get them checked, tested and overhauled if needed. You may have expensive 1.8's but you'll be certain of the condition and have practicaly new injectors at that point.

just being honest so when I sell other parts in the future i'll have a good rep in not disapointing buyers..

Yep. Pretty bad. Bad enough to make me genuinely distrust everyone working in your profession.

To be honest, you are right sir... I never brought any of my cars to anyone... I can't work as a service adviser as the stuff they teach you to do to make a buck was just a bit to much for me... Dealerships are the worst so take it to someone you know and truely trust..

Everyones starving now a days so always get a second and third opinion if ever you have to bring a car in..

I'm not knocking on mechs, shops, or dealers but just want the ones that work hard for the money such as myself aware of what I have seen first hand.. truely no secret as most know.

This "Master Mechanic" claims those injectors will never work when i was there the day they where pulled and directly put in a box to be shipped. Seemed to work fine on his Begi-S kit unless his WB02 was lying. Before you start calling people out maybe you should do a little research and get your facts straight. There are far to many techs in this field that just replace **** becouse they have no concept of how things work. They see something that doesn't look brand new and decide its fucked up. If you wanted to be cheap ,which you clearly do, you could always just use the pintel caps of what injectors your pulling out of your engine now.... Complaining about having to have 14 year old injectors serviced where do you get off? Ever check how much 1 new injector is?

entire kits with shipping would be the same as the RX7 one: https://www.miataturbo.net/forum/showthread.php?t=18545

You just don't get it. Used injectors are used injectors, unless the seller claimed to have had them serviced just prior to selling them, they will almost always need work. Just because you're a cheapass doesn't mean that you were ripped off. Did you check Cody Strife's 460cc injector f/s thread? His were serviced just prior to shipping and commanded over $150, whereas the very same injectors go for under $80 normally without servicing. Even if your tan-tops arrived looking clean and neat, how would you know they performed up to par without sending them in? You do plan on using these in an engine that could be considered "highly strung", yes? Why leave something so preventable to chance? Just man up, send them in for servicing, and for god's sake stop crying about it.

Ahaha, funny edited quote there brother. You guys are to much.. ahaha, I get it though. you guys just love me thats why your giving me such a hard time. Its all good...
Like I said time and time again I don't want to put any money into these which is why I am selling them. I have a set of Supra Low Ohm injectors that are comming off my old supra and I am 100% sure are good, I'm just going to get a resistor box do the process of cleaning them on my own.

Last time I checked this was just a FS thread. so if anyone is interested please let me know.. And thaks KGP for all the links, they are now bookmarked and I'll be looking into them in the future.. Thanks again for all the love guys..

If you had mentioned this earlier, it might have changed things.

Everything you posted up until now made it seem like you couldn't be bothered to have injectors cleaned and tested and blamed the seller.

sorry, again that was not my intention. these are a good cheap set for someone to upgrade to who should get them checked out and they will have like new injectors in the end. $20.00 come on now, you can't beat that price. I took a $20 loss and much grief on here so someone please take them. $25.00 shipped to the lowwer 48.
thanks again for all the links and info guys...
