Thanks. Will try again.

Got a response for my 2nd PM .. :)

Something new is in development for all 1.6 users to go along with these MS's from Braineack.

Braineack 06-26-2017 10:09 AM

Yup! A PNP vTPS kit will be a non-optional part of my 1.6L unit. Unless you already have a vTPS.

ByteVenom 07-27-2017 04:07 PM

PM'd about an MS3X for my NB1!

Awesome! Going to VTPS made a huge difference on my setup. What TPS will you be using?

One from a Kia. It bolts right in and uses the stock connector. Scott will provide it when you purchase a MS for the 1.6.

Braineack 08-01-2017 03:00 PM

actually, im upping the costs of my 1.6L units about $800 and including a 1.8L

Side effects might include torque of uncertain origin, increased response to boost, and end to false beliefs regarding faster revving of 1.6 motor.

18psi 08-01-2017 05:31 PM

yes yesssssssssssss let the 1.6 oppression flow through you

Joseph Conley 08-23-2017 02:44 PM

@Braineack, trubokitty.com has a significant number of typos. I would like to help by fixing them, feel free to reach out to me.

Braineack 08-23-2017 03:17 PM

Typos add character

WigglingWaffles 08-29-2017 02:53 PM

Color me a noob, but how do we go about ordering one of these borderline legendary ECUs? Are the ms3x's pnp or is there harness fabwork to be done?

The first post still has all the details you're looking for. Go ahead and PM if you're interested or have more questions.

jsmo25emx5 10-22-2017 11:32 AM

pmd a few times havent gotten a response.

Braineack 10-22-2017 06:26 PM

Bad timing for me right now. Haven't been responding to any PM's last week or so. I'll catch up soon and start up again soon.

ridethecliche 10-24-2017 10:18 PM

Worth the wait!

debatable.

I've been trying to figure out how to wire my VVT to the ECU built by brain, :vash:

nbdooey 11-25-2017 10:11 AM

I've sent you a PM with a few questions/inquiries. If you could please reply as soon as you can I would really appreciate it! Thanks in advance for your awesome products and support!

Pat8703 12-07-2017 09:54 PM

Braineack,

Any idea when you're going to start building units again? I sent you a pm a couple weeks ago.

AMDnoob 12-29-2017 08:00 PM

Would it be possible for me to pay you to troubleshoot the ms3x I built? Or possibly refer me to someone who can? I built it and everything seems to be okay except for the crank sensor / vr circuit. I've tried for over a month to make it work and I've just failed hardcore at it.

Braineack 12-29-2017 08:25 PM

did you follow my writeup?

DrFlathead 12-31-2017 12:28 AM

Hey, I would really like to get a ms3x from you. I sent you a pm a little while back. Diypnp doesn't make a ms3 for my 97, so my options are pretty limited.

AMDnoob 12-31-2017 05:15 PM

I sure did, I'm really bummed out because I was fairly certain I had it done up correctly. But I'm pretty overwhelmed at this point and I think that this part of the troubleshooting is above my ability. Kind of wish I just had you build me one from the start :/. I made it for a 96-97 with the harness and what not though.

Balto 01-17-2018 12:27 AM

What's the lead time on a MS3X/knock sensor? Link is... Inadequate at best and I really want to not blow my shit up.

I have attempted to. I had them set to where you said in the write up, but I've also tried a variety of other settings and I've never managed to catch the crank signal.

I genuinely do appreciate how you've tried to help. :D

Jitwontee 02-20-2018 08:19 PM

Ready to go standalone ECU. PM Sent. Thank you

Balto 08-22-2018 08:50 PM

Got mine today! Looks freakin awesome! Thanks Braineack!

Braineack 09-08-2018 02:48 PM

I added a range of MS3Pro Module PNP offerings to supply a unit closer to what a MS3PRO PNP would offer you. They install in the stock ECU case, so installation is a breeze, and make it really easy to upgrade/customize and expand from my base offering. See my first post for prices. PM me for more info.

I will probably phase out building anymore ms3x units and focus just on these. the price is greater, but you get a much better unit with more options, expandibilty, and less potential for error/issues.

18psi 09-08-2018 02:54 PM
