Got the tranny with the car (the P O was planning on upgrading), I like the gear ratios of the 5-speed better and I don't plan on making mad power (I know, I know...), need the funds for Fatcat suspension so I'm selling this one..
As for the condition, i never had it installed but it turns freely in every gear.
I really don't want to ship this since it involves building a crate, renting a forklift, etc so local pickup only.
$500

I bought a 6 speed off ebay and it was shipped to me UPS. Wrapped in bubble wrap and shrink wrap. It shipped well and no damage to the electric which was first covered with cardboard. Just an option as I was surprised UPS would ship 90#.

Off a 99 I think. I got the tranny with the car when I bought it.
Itwas never installed in my car, the previous owner bought it, he planned to upgarde from the 5-speed to the 6-speed but never got around to it.
No clutch, just the lever and the slave cylinder.

+1 I shipped a 6-speed like this as well. Just make sure it is COMPLETELY drained and seal it up in thick trash bags just in case.
UPS will ship up to 150lbs.
I recently received/shipped a couple of T-5s that were about 90lbs boxed up. One just went from LA to TX but was only $30 shipping via FedEx.
If you have a motivated buyer and a way to transport it you can take it to a pack and ship place at buyer's expense.

I have shipped several transmissions across the US. Just drain it, wrap it well, and send it out. ULINE sells a box that's the perfect size. Though you do need to remove the shifter from the turret and place it along side the transmission. FedEX tends to be less expensive than UPS. Usually around $100 in freight charges. A 6 speed should be right under 100 lbs boxed and ready.
Since this is now a "how do you ship ****" thread:
yes bubble wrap and shrink wrap won't do jack **** for protection. WTF, seriously?
rubbermaid containers are also good for shipping transmissions and other body parts
