BS. Bubble wrap works just fine, and I do not mean just one layer, obviously, but several. Anyway, I will just drop it because I really do not have a dog in this fight anyway.

Unless they through the trany out the window going down the freeway I'm sure it would be fine. Ive seen one fall out of a car on a lift when a guy was doing a clutch job and it was fine. The guy was reamed for it though.
