Default ACT Clutch Group Buy

ACT Clutch Group Buy!!!

THIS THREAD IS NOW LEGIT! IF YOU ARE IN THE MARKET FOR A CLUTCH, ACT IS THE HANDS DOWN FAVORITE OF THE TURBO MIATA COMMUNITY.

I have communicated with CAROLINA CLUTCH and Tom is a great guy, willing to work with us, and has cut us a great deal. For a minimum Group Buy of 10, we will get 10% off the listed price on the CC website on clutches, and 5% off on Flywheels. We don’t need to buy 10 flywheels to get the deal on those. Shipping is free. You may order any model of Miata ACT Clutch on the website.

NOTE: CC doesn’t stock every model of clutch for Miatas. Some he does, but most of the puck clutches are direct order from ACT. He has also said that due to recent demand, ACT is backordering a week or so on a lot of their import models. If you order one of the less popular models (like a solid disc 4-puck) it might take a week for ACT itself to come through. Tom will be able to tell you more when you order a specific model.

Here are the links to the ACT website:
1.6
http://www.advancedclutch.com/119087...1.6L_N_FI.html
1.8
http://www.advancedclutch.com/119091...1.8L_N_FI.html

NOTE: The torque numbers ACT advertises are at the crank... so for our RWD cars, subtract about 12-15% for RWTQ. For example... the 1.6HD indicates it will hold 200ftlbs... which makes about 175wtq. Also note that ACT is famous for underrating their products and guys regularly put more power through their products than they're rated for with zero issues and long-life.

Here is the link to the CarolinaClutch page for Miata ACT clutches:
http://www.carolinaclutch.com/ListItems.aspx?RootCat=Clutch+Kit&&

Change the MODEL to Miata and click SEARCH
Just subtract 10% to the prices listed there, that’s what you’ll pay.

Here is the link to FLYWHEELS… just change the model to Miata and click SEARCH:
http://www.carolinaclutch.com/ListItems/MainCategory/Flywheel.aspx

Subtract 5% from the prices listed for your price.

NOW, we need to wait until we have 10 ABSOLUTE DEFINITE BUYERS of this deal before anybody orders.

In order to “order”, you’ll just call Carolina Clutch and tell them you’re in on the SAMNAVY Group Buy.

So pay attention to the post below… when the DEFINITE list reaches 10, I’ll post the GO-AHEAD to buy… and I’ll need everybody on the DEFINITE list to order within a day or two. That’s the easiest way to do it! The buy itself will continue for a few weeks so others can get in on it… but the first 10 guys make it happen.

Thanks, and stay tuned for the GO-AHEAD!

depending on when I'd be interested in a

1.6 ZM1-XTMM $310

fyi, 1.8 clutches can be used w/ a 1.6 motor as long as you also use a 1.8 clutch if you are looking for something stronger. The reverse also applies to 1.8 motors if you are looking for something lighter.

Just a correction.

Like I pm'd SamNavy, I am interested but not commiting as of yet to a 1.8L HD 6 puck.

What is better, the sprung or unsprung 6 puck disc?

Edit: This is with a Fidanza if that matters.

Question. How are these better then ClutchNet? A yellow series organic sprung disc, and pressure plate is 250. Surely it can perform as well as ACT.

Edit: even with a Red 2X its 250.

for the extreme duty ones, can we get the organic disc instead of the 4 or 6 puck ones?

I may be in for just a 6 puck without the pressure plate, tool, and bearings. Depends on price/timing.
