ACT Extreme clutch bought from Flyin Miata. Rated at 318+ ft-lbs. Includes:
- Clutch
- Pressure Plate
- clutch switch override (optional to eliminate need to depress the clutch before starting)
- clutch alignment tool

Clutch has about 20k miles on it and still has no noticeable wear. I will send pictures if interested. This clutch easily has 80% of it's life left, buy for half the cost of a new one.

Why am I selling: Honestly, I blew 2nd gear out of my trans so my tranny is out of the car until I get a replacement. This clutch has heavier feel than the stock clutch and although I don't mind it, my wife complains about it, so I'm taking the opportunity change it, if anyone wants to buy this one. If not, I'll reinstall it and keep using it. Engagement is quick and close to the floor (but not on the floor).

 

Forgot to mention, this is for 1.8 engines, but will fit 1.6 if you have a 1.8 flywheel.

 

is this the stage 1 or 2 fm clutch kit?

 

I believe it's stage 2. I think stage 1 is the "HD" heavy duty clutch and stage 2 is the "Extreme", although I'm not 100% positive. This one is definitely the stronger of the 2.

 

Oh, I checked FM's website and now I see what you are asking. FM sells a level 1 and level 2 (unknown mfg), stock clutches and the ACT Extreme clutch. I don't know how this Extreme clutch compares to the "level 1" and "level 2" clutch, but I would assume it matches with their "level 1" since it is rated at 318 ft-lbs. Their "level 2" is rated at 353 ft-lbs.

I also noticed an error in my original post, this ACT clutch is rated at 307 ft-lbs.

Also, I have a friend that has the FM "level 1" and the pressure plate has relatively stock feel to it, but this ACT Extreme has more pedal effort than that one.
