The cheapest I can find a tap is for over 30 bucks. Anybody willing to let me borrow one? Preferably MI, but I'll pay shipping if not.

What size are you looking for?

 

I imagine you will need a 1/2" NPT. Let me know if you can't find any. I think I can get them for around $15 or so.

The size I saw listed in the writups for tapping the pan is 1/2x14NPT.

I'd buy one for 15 bucks.

$15 is a good price.

You need a bit as well. For me, every bit I found was stupid expensive. I managed to find a used bit for a great price though.

I'll double check the size on mine, it just depends what oil drain you are running.

 

Yea Me too I need the neccessary tools to do the job, bandit do you have the tap And size drill bit I would need for your fittings?

 

I dont have any in stock right now, but I think I can order them. I believe I was quoted around $15 or so for the tap. I dont remember what the drill bit ran. I will try and check. I have 3 big tests tomorrow, so it may be tomorrow before I know anything for sure.
