Default For anyone looking for 99 head

I needed a 99 cylinder head and found cylinder heads international.
Rebuilt head with 3 angle valve job for $350.
Wish I found them earlier. I paid $200 just for a rebuild last time.
They require you to send core back or you don't get the 12 month warranty.
They don't care what condition it's in so I sent them a chewed up block along with chewed up carrot sticks.

Shipping was free.
It comes in a box with a return lable so returning a core to them is also free.

This is from there site .
"This listing is for a rebuilt Mazda Miata 1.8 liter dual cam rebuilt cylinder head 1994 and newer. For other models see our store listings. This head is completely rebuilt. It has been pressure checked for cracks and resurfaced. Guides and seats have been replaced as needed. New VITON valve stem seals have been installed. All heads are given a three angle valve job. All valves have been vacuum checked to ensure proper sealing."

It says on there site that you have to give them the number off your head when ordering . I'm guessing thats so they can match up to it . Not sure if that means it has to match when you ship it back but who knows .

"Your 1.8 liter will have an identifying number cast into it. Please include this number, your vehicle's year and your phone number with area code, with any correspondence such as an email or Paypal payment."

"We will accept your old cylinder head no matter what is wrong with it as long as it includes all the parts that our head came with. You will never be charged extra because your old head is damaged. Cracked head? OK! Bent valves? OK! Head taken apart? OK! (as long as you put all of the parts in the box). We have no up-front core charge. Our comprehensive inventory includes heads for domestic or import models and a 12-month unlimited mileage guarantee."

I put in my address and shipping to me was $20. Not free but still very cheap.
From what I understand you just tell them that you have a 1999 miata and that the number on the head is bp4w so thats that they ship to you.

I wonder if they'd do any custom work... can't hurt to ask. I can't find anywhere on the site that talks about what parts they use, if they re-use your old valves or what not?

I wonder if you wanted a p&p or could get them to install oversize valves for additional cost? Maybe somebody could call and work up a group buy for a limited run of "super-heads". Can't hurt to ask.

since they send head before the core is return, I doubt they re-use any of the parts off your old head

I think if you don't return the core you just lose out on the 12 month warranty.

Nope, they reuse the ones from head before yours. I gaurantee there are used parts in the head you get from any rebuilder for that price. And its gonna get harder to get that deal when all you guys screw them out of their bp4w cores. Buy em while you can.

The website says you will be charged the fair market value of the core if it is not received.

Open a dispute, which could cause paypal to freeze your account after ruling against you. The problem could be that paypal would probably refund the seller, then you could have paypal on your *** for the money. This is all depending that there was note of this in the actual paypal transaction. Otherwise they'll just keep sending you invoices, or send you a small claims notice? Having people jack their cores could be a big problem for a small operation.
