I'm the friend. piping is 2" hotside (long pipe) not 2.5 like stated in auction. It's also mild steel not aluminum. Other than that I can't complain for $76 bucks. intercooler is 3" thick and has 2.5" in/out, unlike other similar priced intercoolers, so that alone is worth the price. The piping, silicon couplers and 3" ss turbo inlet elbow just make it a sweeter deal

Just an FYI for anyone else who manages to get one of these. He sent me an invoice the same day trying to quote $126 for standard international shipping instead of the 79 he posted in the listing. Pay attention before you pay!

I sent him payment through paypal to the email address listed and I'll give him three weeks before I file a dispute or something though.

Looking back at my won auction says that "This user is no longer registered" though no reason is given. Not sure what happened but when I received it the sender was ssautochrome. The user was someone else though I can't recall the exact name anymore.

Heh, they took the paypal account address off their page this time around. I'd buy one for resale if I could. Good to know they come back every once in a while.

All I did was set my max bid to $10 on one that was closing at some obscenely early hour of a saturday morning. Won it for 5.01.

Shipping killed me though, meh.

how good can this kit be for the price? How is he even making money selling them for $5? Any take the intake temps with this ic and see if they work?

He's making his "desired" profit in the shipping cost. That's his guarantee that he gets what he wants from the sale. Speaking hypothetically, he could have $20 in the intercooler, $10 in the pipes and he's shipping them for $10 his cost. So $10 shipping profit plus all of the bid money. I'm assuming if it was totally useless you'd read about it in this thread from a buyer.

Sweet - I won. All for the grand total of $5.50. Even with shipping, $55.50 is a steal for an intercooler and three pipes.

That's the plan. I've got a turbo/manifold/downpipe from a Mazdaspeed, a Link piggy, a Turbo XS MBC, and now an intercooler on the way. I'll need to fab up an intake, fit/route the IC pipes, and run oil/water lines. Ahhhh, but first I need to get the car running!
