Default COP super sale.

Well, I was able to get my hands on a few COP setup's.

The first set is a set of 4 "Mitsubishi" COPs. 3 wire and inclue complete harness.
115.00 shipped and paypaled.

Second set is a set of 4 "infiniti" COPs. 3 wire and include complete harness.
115.00 shipped and paypaled.

Third set is a set of 6 "infiniti" COPs. 3 wire and include complete harness.
150.00 shipped and paypaled.

Forth set is a set of 4 "toyota" COPs. 2 wire and include complete pigtails.
110.00 shipped and paypaled.

Fifth set is a set of 4 "toyota" COPs. 2 wire and include complete pigtails.
110.00 shipped and paypaled.

Sixth set is a set of 6 "volvo" COPs. 3 wire and include complete harness. These arnt as long as the other COPs so I am unsure if they will work properly so I lowered the price.
80.00 shipped and paypaled.

Pictures will be posted to show detail for each setup, along with a comparison picture between the volvo COPs and the normal sized COPs.

Please E-Mail me with any questions at: axjosephxdx3rd@aim.com

2/3 wire cops? i dont recall seeing harness schematics for this kind... most of us run 4-wire toyota cops.

I'm sure there is a way to wire them in with megasquirt.... Sorry I cannot answer the question though. Maybe someone can chime in.

High prices (maybe not since they all include either pigtails or harness), lack of information.

Part numbers and pics would be nice.

Okay, now that's a deal.

I want the Toyota 1ZZ-FEs if the part numbers match one of those.

I'm pretty sure those are all 4-wire though.

4 wire 3 wire or 2 wire it doesnt matter. You only need the 12v and the trigger, unless you have an old miata that needs a tach signal.

Thank you sam. I will get the numbers and try and get the pictures up when I'm around some wifi. All the sets are the correct length for the setup's except the volvo set. They are shorter and don't believe the will reach the plugs.....

You sure about this?

4 wire vs. 3 wire, yes, the difference would be the absence of a tach pin, which is easily enough made up for if necessary.

2 wire, OTOH, suggests to me that the coils do not have internal igniters, and are just that- coils. At a minimum, you need one pin for +12, one for trigger, and one for ground. Unless these coils ground through the body somehow, I'm not seeing how this would work.

Quick & easy test- using a multimeter set to ohms, measure across the two pins in both polarities. If you get the same, relatively low reading either way, they're just plain ole' coils sans igniter.

Yeah, I need the four wires, I like having tach signal, and my Miata is, well, older than my last girlfriend.

Mitsubishi COPs: 33410-77e2
Toyota COPs: 90919-02211
Infiniti COPs: Hanshin MCP-1350 set of 6
Infiniti COPs: Hanshin MCP-1370 set of 4
Volvo COPs: 029700-7920

On the two wire toyota cops, using the 200 ohm scale. The reading is 0.7 and the same if you switch polarity.

Hope this helps!

Then as I expected, they do not have integrated igniters- they're just coils. 0.7 ohms is pretty much in-spec for a healthy primary winding on a small ignition coil.

MegaSquirt owners can still use them by connecting the on-board high-current driver (Q16) to the first ignition channel, and building a second VB912 driver to handle channel 2. It's possible that 1.6 owners might be able to run them on the stock igniter, though in parallel the primary current will be slightly more than double stock, which might shorten the life of the igniter somewhat. Others could use the stock igniter from whatever Toyota models used these coils, or build an igniter circuit by copying the one off the MS schematic in duplicate.
