https://www.miataturbo.net/miata-par...-%24200-62720/
I bought this only to relize the down pipe is a t3 i think not the normal t25 I have. So it back for sale for 50 dollars less and including shipping. |
Interested......Paypal ready. It would be shipped to 63385. Still not enough to PM (all I need to do is buy more stuff). Thanks.

Downpipe isn't T3, it's it's own unique little ch..ch..ch...churbo thing that you have to fab up a downpipe for. I learned this the hard way when I bought mine.
GLWS. |

GLWS. I'm most interested in the distance between the two closest fastener holes. |

So can we get a pic of the turbine outlet side with a ruler showing the fastener spacing. I know my begi chinacharger has a t25 flange but the entire fastener pattern is "clocked" a little so my t25 downpipe flange doesn't quite match the outlet without slotting the holes in the downpipe flange.

Here's Art's input on the turbo:

I did get the turbo today, and it's definitely not a Garrett flange. Take a look:
Garrett flange over the flange that came with the turbo https://www.miataturbo.net/attachmen...ine=1328836459 This turbo's flange, on top https://www.miataturbo.net/attachmen...ine=1328836459 So they did supply a flange, but it's a non separated flange. AFAIK no one makes a separated/divorced flange for this turbo, so the only DP I can make with the supplied flange will be a single exhaust pipe like this: https://www.miataturbo.net/attachmen...ine=1328836459 Also, the flange is a 1/2" solid cast piece. There is no cavity on the back side, so the WG flapper will be limited to just a few degrees of range. About this far open: https://www.miataturbo.net/attachmen...ine=1328836459 https://www.miataturbo.net/attachmen...ine=1328836459 This along with a smaller than Garrett WG hole, I think, will lead to boost creep. CXracing: https://www.miataturbo.net/attachmen...ine=1328836459 Garrett https://www.miataturbo.net/attachmen...ine=1328836459 So what do you think? Do you still want to use this turbo? The included flange looks like it could be easily modified for a seperated gas dp. and with a little porting the wastegate could be improved and this would be a great churbo option. I still love that wastegate mounting solution. |
Sorry 90 Turbo but it looks like my interested has waned, you can blame Curly and blaen99. Still might be good give a pic with some dimensions.
|
Yeah I agree it will be for diy guy because you will have to mock up a down pipe.
All the pics are the same as the ones in the original link. I have the flange. |
I'm interested, Turbo is brand new right? does it come with oil/water fittings? Do you know what psi the wastegate actuator is?
|
Just realized my questions were answered in the other thread you linked. Not really interested anymore, Free bump for you!
