Damn, I feel like an *** for having this take so long.

Update:
I have 5 units ready to ship, I'm actually getting ready to print labels .

I also have: 15 circuit boards built, and 6 boxes drilled and awaiting assembly. -> Basically everyone that has paid me will have theirs shipped out this week. As soon as I get these taken care of I'll move down the list. I don't want an angry mob showing up at my door

LC filter? Or are you just using parallel capacitors?

12hz-12khz. I'm thinking about moving to a 16khz mic though.

Jeff,

I have a question. I seem to be able to hear everything with mine. I mean people talking etc. Without being clipped to anything. I'm thinking my clip does not have the mic mounted correctly. I might be able to correct this myself if I knew how it was supposed to be mounted. It looks like the mic is held in with hot glue, but I can hear the wind when I blow into the clip.

Thanks, otherwise seems fine.

I think this is normal. I can hear EVERYTHING with mine....Once its clipped to the motor and the motor is running, all the ambient noise pretty much dissappears.....except when at high speeds.

Really? Perhaps I can try mine tomorrow, but I would think it would be near silent except for what you clip it to.

Definitly not. I know the first time I tried it I had the car idling....when I turned off the motor and I could hear my dogs collar jingling clear as day(she was about 20ft away). When I took off the headphones I couldn't hear ****.

Another example...same time as the one I mentioned above. Being in awe that they picked up that much noise, I slightly tapped my finger on my door....sure enough, I hear thunk thunk thunk. This may not sound like much, but its crazy when the mic is clipped a few feet away on the oposite side of the motor

i got mine today. installed them on the right motormount, pluged it in, turned it on, and i could hear a pickup truck driving up the road.... 100yards away!!!

i bet if i parked in front of someones house and opened the hood, i would be able to hear them fart from the back side of the house.

this device is spooky and awesome!

This is an electronic stethoscope, which means until you press it up against something it should pick up quite a bit. Just like a real stethoscope. It's muddled, but it'll hear anything.

Not sure why, but this just gave me a thought. Maybe I should wrap some electrical tape around the clip (obviously while its clipped to the motor mount bolt) to try and isolate it from other surrounding noises.
