There are two nicks in the leather that I found. The first one is just to the left of the 12 o'clock position. The other is about 6 o'clock.

are you sure those dampers are koni race? the typical description is that the race dampers are red and the yellows like those are "sport". there's a massive value difference.

They are Koni "Race" (as purchased from Goodwin Racing). Shorter bodied and valved for higher spring rates from the factory. They are still only single adjustable though.
