I bead blasted mine for $40. Just make sure you get all the sand out of the egr passageway if you do that.

I already have one so I don't necessarily need it urgently. I was just going to pick up an extra to have some bugs welded and send it off to be abrasive flow machined. I can relinquish dibs if you truly need it. I may have some down time in the future and just send the one on my car out.
