In keeping with VAG parts, I'm guessing this is the solution?

From the sounds of it, DIYautotune's quadspark isn't exactly what we need.

These coils shouldn't work with the Mini or the Basic MS3. These ECUs are not designed to run coils that require a lot of current on the signal, which only happens with these coils. If you want to use these coils, you will need to use the TC4427A chip circuit posted above.

Shipping update - we expect to ship in early April, sooner if possible. We are just waiting on the production run of seals. We've also moved pre-ordering to our site: https://goflowforce.com/products/r8-...coil-kit-miata
While you wait, here are some pretty pictures:

Can confirm great fitment on a VVT valve cover, no modification required. Due to their relatively high height, they sit well clear of the OE coil mounting bosses. They may not have been slammed down all the way for these photos.
Now, to make them work...

From what I've been reading, DIY's quad spark is a pre-made product that'll give MS3X users the high current channels for these coils, has anyone else considered using one, or are these coils really that unique among the other VAG units.

And yes they fit on a VVT valve cover as-is, no modification required. They grab HARD on the spark plug so they don't even need to be mounted and bolted down.

We're sending out the kits without seals right meow so you all aren't waiting on us. The seals should be in the main in a couple of weeks.

Alright all you cool cats and kittens. I was able to get my MS3X running correctly using TC4427 on the proto area of the MS base board. I made one modification to the recommended layout. Instead of using the LED spark outputs I took the series resistors off of the current MS3X ignition outputs of U13. This way I could retain knock sensing functionality. It goes something like this.
MS3X V3.0 TC4427 Implementation for low impedance VAG Coils
Expansion Board
Remove R62, R63, R59, R60 from MS3 Expansion Board
U13 Pin 11(MS3 Expansion Board) → first TC4427 Pin 2 (In proto area of MS Base board)
U13 Pin 12 (MS3 Expansion Board) → first TC4427 Pin 4 (In proto area of MS Base board)
U13 Pin 13 (MS3 Expansion Board) → second TC4427 Pin 2 (In proto area of MS Base board)
U13 Pin 14 (MS3 Expansion Board) → second TC4427 Pin 4 (In proto area of MS Base board)
(I used R62, R63, R59, R60 pads that were on the U13 side to jumper to proto area)
First TC4427 Pin 7 -> 15 Ohm resistor -> Expansion board DB37 Pin 14
First TC4427 Pin 5 -> 15 Ohm resistor -> Expansion board DB37 Pin 33
Second TC4427 Pin 7 -> 15 Ohm resistor -> Expansion board DB37 Pin 15
Second TC4427 Pin 5 -> 15 Ohm resistor -> Expansion board DB37 Pin 34
This way we are still driving spark with the native MS3X spark driver, but adding high current capabilities by putting TC4427 in series with the original buffer.
We can retain knock functionality on daughter card (instead of using LED spark output to drive TC4427, as stated in the MS3 base instructions)
According to virtual dyno, switching from the OEM 1996 ignition system to the VAG coil packs I picked up somewhere around 10hp. Car also feels smoooooooth.
Now I just need to run Spark C and D out to the engine bay.......
