Default Flyin' Miata NC Cosworth Supercharger (FMSC) including Ecutek - NorCal - $3750 DIY

The inimitable Flyin' Miata Supercharger, made by Cosworth, is a hard-to-find classic. FM says it provides 225hp at the wheels with the stock pulley; I never dyno'd it but it sounds about right. The extra power is transformative to the NC Miata while it feels absolutely stock with no lag whatsoever, undetectable supercharger whine, and rock-solid reliability. You would never guess from driving it that there was anything aftermarket -- it just feels as if you suddenly had a bigger engine in your car. Runs cool, and requires no other upgrades to the engine or drivetrain.

These have been out of production for years and fetch a healthy premium. This one is very lightly used, with only about 20K miles on it. I'm including not only the supercharger, pulley, etc. but also an ECUTek cable and license, plus a laptop computer with the ECUTek software preinstalled for convenience. ECUTek includes tuning and programming capabilities and also RaceROM, which gives you features like downshifting auto-blip, flat-foot shifting, etc. ECUTek costs $570 plus shipping/tax by itself. It also comes with full instructions and even the original FM window decals if you like to show off.

Why the low price? It's still installed in my car and you will need to remove it (and reinstall the relevant stock components, which I have on hand) yourself to cart it away. You don't actually have to get my car running without it, because it's being totaled due to an accident; it just has to look complete. If you want the (licensed and tuned) ECU from my car to make it a 100% turnkey install in your car, then bring your own stock ECU to swap in. This is a great deal for a DIYer. The car is located in Woodside, CA (SF Bay Area).

As it happens, it sold immediately but then the guy who was buying it got COVID and had some economic problems as a result. I let him off the hook and just haven't gotten around to relisting it or contacting the other people who reached out. So it's still available!
