actually that would have made a good rack for hangin shop rags/towels in the garage.
STB will make a difference if the chassis is also beefed up.
When I had the STB on my car it seemed to reduce vibration in the front of the car. I've since taken it off and installed FM frame rails ... better much better.
Just what I have been hearing for the last year or so. People have been telling me its not noticeable. I would like to try one personally before I make a definite conclusion. 27 bucks on ebay, i bet its just as good as the bar on that page. Something I may consider.

I just got one for an Accord for $20 shipped on ebay for a towel rack. I never have a place to put wet towels in the garage after washing cars, and if I can't find a place to put it, it's made for one of my buddy's cars.
I'm not doubting that the bar won't do much on a Miata, I was just commenting about your thinking a Miata is stiff as is.
$5 for most.
