Default Free '90 Miata transmission - broken

I have a '90 tranny that has a bent shift fork. It's stuck in reverse. Thought I'd see if anyone wants it before I bring it to the dump. Maybe someone knows how to fix it or wants the housing for a tranny build. Local pickup or I'll ship if you pay cost of shipping.

Location in Titusville, FL or I could drive it to Orlando.

are you sure the fork is bent? stuck in reverse is a common (and easily fixable) problem with these.

I just looked it up. I guess it is easily fixable. Too bad no one mentioned that when I first had the problem. So if anyone wants a free transmission, all they need to do is remove a couple washers from this one and go at it with a flathead. It has about 130k miles on it. Can't say it won't happen again though unless the rod is replaced, so I'm still happy I replaced the whole transmission.

Anyone want it? If not, I'm just going to bring it to the dump this weekend

I want it... but it would require shipping which would suck.

Dave,
If the shifter is removed, the trans will ship in a 40x15x15 and weighs 90 lbs. DHL won't be expensive.

So Ben, how would I package this transmission for shipment? Just wrap it in plastic? I'm pretty sure it'd break through a cardboard box

Ships fine in a strong cardboard box. Trick is to make the box the exact same size as the trans so it can't move around.
