Overall condition of this laptop is EXCELLENT. There aren't really any cosmetic flaws. The screen is also free of any defects/spots. Compact size is easy for carry around....just a touch over 3lbs. The DVD/CDRW is external and attaches via cable (included). Also comes with ALL the needed recovery disks (XP Pro SP2, Dell Drivers disk, Roxio disk, WinDVD disk).

Don't let the 866 P3 fool you either. It's faster then you'd think. Heck, it'll start up and open any program faster then most new laptops with Vista. No joke. It'll surf the web, watch YouTube videos, play music and DVD's just fine. I honestly can't tell the difference between this and my 1.4 Centrino i use personally. As a matter of fact, i use this exact model/spec laptop for tuning my car and downloading pictures when im away from home among other things.

Does it have a serial port?

 

I use one of these same models for tuning. They do indeed have serial ports.

The compact size and light weight makes it perfect for a tuning laptop. It's a sturdy little bugger, too.

To tell the truth, I think these c400's are higher quality pieces than the Core 2 Duo Macbook I'm typing this on.

The one i have for tuning looks like it's been though a nuclear war.... the palm rest is cracked and missing in places, it's been dropped...and it still works like clockwork!
