I used this on my rx7 a few years ago and it worked quite well. Been in my toolbox since.

 

Buddy of mine has one like it. He said they use them all the time back in Okinawa, Japan instead of a RRFPR. They are fully adjustable for gain on the fly. They just never took off as big in the states. Maybe because we don't have a zillion different turbo cars running around. Japan and Australia get all the good stuff.
