Exclamation FS: Mint Factory Yellow Hardtop with Defrost

Up for grabs is a mint condition factory sunburst yellow hardtop with rear defrost. I've been looking at hardtops on craigslist and ebay going anywhere from 1k to 2500 (admittedly it's a bit silly at 2500 imo.)

I would consider this to be premiere for hardtops. All hardware included of course. This hardtop has hardly ever been used. Therefore no fading as you can see. The previous owner of my car of 19 years, garaged it every winter and rolled with the top down every summer. This sat in his basement pretty much the whole time, with the exception of a few uses from time to time.

Again, this is Factory Sunburst Yellow Hardtop, which I've heard was very rare? ( I have no idea about the validity of this, I'm sure one of you know ). And this does have the rear defrost. Doesn't need repaint, just put it on and go!

Hardtop is located in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. I would prefer local pickup but I can probably figure out shipping with the right deal.

Asking price is $1500obo (+shipping of course if I have to ship).

I've seen crappy condition hardtops going on the various miata forums for 900+ and moderate condition going for 1300+. This is excellent condition, and the most desirable configuration. I think 1500 is definitely fair but offer up. I'm not going to be offended by any offer.

PS, its in my basement as you can see, so I'd prefer to not have to get it out and put it on the car etc, but if you really want some pictures of it on the vehicle outside in the natural light, I'll get that for you.

Don't listen to those guys, do whatever you want. Splitting up is likely to be the best financial move. If it's "special" and collectible, let them speak with their wallet. It's not like you're proposing to set it on fire or send it to the crusher just for the fun of it.

thank you. as I said in my car sale listing, i'd gladly keep it together, but someone needs to make a FAIR offer for it together. doesnt have to be my price by any means, but something fair. i can't exactly afford to take a thousand dollar plus hit just to save some historical significance or something... I'd love to be financially well off enough to do that, but i think few of us actually would throw away 1k or more dollars just for that kind of thing. I'd gladly give someone a great deal on the pair..

I guess what I'm trying to say is, its only worth that to someone WITH a Sunburst. If you want to open up your market, price accordingly.

well thank you, see now that makes sense. see i'm a firm believe of OBO.. If someone wants it who wants to repaint it then offer me what you want. I'll say yes or no depending. If someone has a yellow miata who wants a hardtop though then here you go. its the same with my car ad, offer up if you want a hardtop in general.
