Default FS: RX7 TurboII transmission Conversion

FS: RX7 Turbo II transmission swap for Miata.

I bought this as an entire package, but only needed the rearend and axles.

For sale is:
1 RX7 turboII transmission (minus shifter), has slave cylinder and throughout arm
1 Custom aluminum adapter plate (made years ago by AMS, the big EVO shop)
1 Custom drive shaft for using with a mid 80s clutch lsd long nose RX7 rear, non-turbo II from what I know. ie: the 7" clutch one that basically bolts into car, and this retains the front longnose vs miata short.

Looking for 600obo for this. Will ship at buyer expense. I have a pallet outside garage right now... and can probably figure out freight some how.

You can ask all the install details you want, I honestly only know that the bell housing has some places modified, cut for stock starter. The adapter plate lines up with both engine and trans. Driveshaft matches on both sides and joints are tight.

So again... 600obo for this and more pictures coming after I get around to it.

Last I checked the TurboII trans doesn't come in any other gear flavors. It's a stock TII trans as far as I know.

Powerwise... I don't know beyond it beats out miata transmissions. Thus why many people have inquired about using one over the years.. but only people who made their own custom adapter plates actually did it.

Yes, or a longnose rx7 snout (or full rearend) for the rearend.

It holds more torque then the miata trans, and is the upgrade of choice if you start breaking gears in the stock trans.

I say stop counting your pennies jew, and buy it.

good deal! This trans is basically a bullet-proof option for a miata.

Anyone know what the gearing is like in this trans? I imagine it would be better (longer), but just wondering on how much. Also, isn't UrbanSoot going n/a, wouldn't this be overkill?

i want it but i dont want to deal with custom driveshaft to use it with my badass rear end. i think its just going to be easier for me to drop 6 speed tranny once my current 5 speed gives up (it will do it soon)

I hear you. Once you go this route. If you ever manage to break the TII transmission... much cheaper to replace

true... but i dont think i can manage to break 6 speed with under 200whp... remember, no turbo? anyways... how much is shipping to 90046? any chance you could just sell adapter plate so i dont have to pay $$$$ for shipping the whole thing? i know its a long shot to ask for something like that but...

Split- I need a shipping quote to T8R 0A3 Morinville Ab Canada. I just blew the **** out of my tranny last night, urban **** off you don't need this ****.

Would you be willing to just sell the adapter plate for a few bux less?

Do you retain the miata clutch when using this thing?

Thanks,

-Dean

I don't have a defined answer but you could check to see if there is a difference between an T2 clutch and N/A rx7 clutch. If they are the same then you will be able to use a standard miata clutch. As the N/A FC use the same transmission as the miata.

This is assuming that, that is a stock unmodified R tranny.

You would use the miata flywheel and pp. You need a custom clutch disc with a t2 spline in it.

Here's what I'll do. I'll sell the adapter plate and driveshaft for 400 total. So a discount of 200 for the trans being removed.

That'll be simple to ship.

Clutchnet can do it, piece of cake. Costs like $60-70
