For whatever reason, it costs some people a fortune to ship seats and some other people find a way to do it for much less. Might try talking with him and see if he'll meet you in the middle or even ship it through a different company..

That's a shitty deal right there. I've shipped a LOT of parts to members here. If shipping was higher than I planned I ate it. I can't believe that he didn't even check shipping something that big. I wouldn't have SWAG'ed that shipping quote.

My guess is that they were subsequently sold to a local/pickup person. No hassles and no shipping. Haven't seen the OP pop in yet to defend himself, or bother to relist them. I'm guessing that they are gone.

SK, I think that even though he did refund the money, it deserves a negative seller feedback, just so others are aware that we don't tolerate this type of ------ry on this board.

There were a few people who offered to come pick them up. There gone, I even offered him an extra 75 dollars just because I needed these seats. I think its a sign that there's a better deal out there.

I will leave negative feedback.

No need to defend myself, it was an oversight on my part to grossly underestimate shipping. I am sorry to SK, judging by his reply to my PM he didn't really seem to mind. My fault. They are NOT gone. Reason why I didn't take your offer for more money was because it is MY fault, and I would NOT ask more for shipping if it's my fault. I'd rather have you leave me a negative feedback, then ask for more than what I was originally asking. If I wasn't a broke college student making less than $100 bucks a week, I would've ate the costs. It was the right thing to do. But unfortunately in this economy not everyone has a spare $145 to swallow. What I did do was PROMPTLY refunded you full amount, without asking for more money for shipping.

I DID research on the shipping price. A quick search on google gave me the idea that they shouldn't be more than $75-$80 to ship these out. I took these to fedex, asked for $400 in insurance, and they came to $145. The cashier was annoyed at me for bringing in seats (I guess he was too lazy to do his job). I asked why is the shipping so high and he gave me an attitude, so I walked out. Not that this is a call for sympathy, because in the end, it's still my fault. Sorry.

Try shipping the seats seperate, the smaller boxes should lower the costs to below $100. I was able to ship four wheels and tires in bundles of two for $60 with DHL. Individual boxes and a different shipping carrier should help you meet your shipping cost goal.
