Garrett GT2560R (GT28R) Turbo
While I was not planning on selling it, for the right price, I will go different direction. Thus, this is a GT 2560R gently used. This has been used on most of the Flyin Miata/Begi kits. It has all the oil and water lines plus fittings other than the oil return line.
Price is $500 shipped. See picture with the manifold. I have more if you send me an e-mail. http://i11.photobucket.com/albums/a1...s/IMG_4441.jpg |

Hmm,
Just a link to the ATP page on the turbo and a comment asking the threadcrapper where he bought his stolen turbo for $500. Frank i deleted said thread crapping, to start a clean thread, but, alas, it's still gone askew. |

You could have just edited my post that included the link to ATP showing that a GT2560 = GT28r. :) I was trying to decrapify the crap.
No biggie. there, happy? :gay: |
somebody want to buy a GT2554r so I can buy this one? :)
|
is this too big of a turbo for a 1.6? Just curious. Any idea on the lag?
|
I don't have experience with one myself but I've been told they spool very fast, even on a 1.6. I'm sure they're making boost around 2300 with the right manifold. Could also be faster than that.

* If anyone buys this turbo and is gonna install it on a GReddy manifold, I have a RM 2.5" downpipe *modified* to fit as well as hard-line coolant lines. * * If anyone buys this turbo and wants a big ugly tubular stainless manifold and 3" stainless downpipe, I have that too. * If no one buys this turbo soon i'll buy it and sell it along with one of the above combos. This turbo also works great on 2.2l subarus ;) |

I had this turbo on my 1.6, along with a RM 2.5" downpipe. It started to make boost pretty early but reached 12psi in the mid-upper 3000 rpm's. IMO a very fun turbo on a 1.6 but it is "peaky". To keep boost in between a 1-2 shift I had to either rev it real high or shift really fast. no biggie.

Sale pending. It is a T25.

any thoughts on the big 16g i have seen some kits with those on ebay for around 1g. back in the day all the DSM kids would get their panties in a wad over that turbo
|
the kits aren't exactly what I would call trustworthy...but I think a few people run the 16 turbo?
|
I wouldn't go with an ebay "16G" if you plan to track your shit. But they are fine for driving on the street.
