Miata Engine (disassembled) with Forged Pistons
Posting this for a friend, so any and all communication needs to be sent to him.

Complete, but disassembled, 1.8L Miata engine from a 1995 Miata, including head. Belfab racing forged rods with Supertech forged pistons (click here for more info), costing $890 alone, and I am including the bored block. These pistons are standard compression (9.0:1), 84mm or .040 over, and the block was bored to match.
Long story (that I won't get into publicly) as to why this engine is in my garage and not in a car, but I no longer have the car. The engine ran strong (much stronger than stock) for about 2000 miles before throwing a bearing. I don't know what caused the bearing failure, but the crank will need to be machined or replaced, and you will need a new bearing set. The original machine work was done by Hitch in Maryville. I would recommend having a skilled machine shop assemble this motor.

Parts are not in my possession, they are in the garage of a former miata owner just down the street. He no longer owns a Miata and therefore felt inappropriate posting them on a Miata forum.
I will probably be helping to package and ship, but doubt he'd be willing to ship since this is essentially an un-assembled longblock and therefore relatively difficult to ship.
