Miata specific audio - 10in trunk box with sub, nice door speakers, amplifiers
Sub and box are SOLD...door speakers and amp still available.
This is the awesome trunk box that fits in the cubby to the left, and provides great bass in a Miata. It has the Tang Band shallow mount 10" sub that Braineack suggests, and for good reason.

^^^where I bought, great seller with good return/warranty
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...=263602_263622
^^^box
This setup sounds great, and takes up very little space. It's been in the car for maybe 6 wks, 3 of which the car was parked. I also seldom listen to the radio, and don't really crank it up.
$125 + shipping
Will include a bridge-able Pioneer GM-X322 amp and all associated wiring (fused power, ign, ground, RCAs, speaker wire) for another $25. This amp is a kinda little for the speaker's capabilities, but sufficient to provide nice bass to back up your music for daily replication. If you want to rattle mirrors look for something else.
Two Boston Acoustics SL65 door speakers.
If you've never had BA equipment you're in for a treat. I've used both their home (computer) and car speakers, and they have great sounds, and can handle some real abuse, for a long time.
The ratings on these are greater than any amp you'd fit in a Miata anyhow.
Boston Acoustics SL65 - 6-1/2" Speakers - Sonic Electronix
Slightly used, but basically new condition.
$80 shipped
I can include a no-name 4 channel amp for another $25, or the above Pioneer if it hasn't sold.
Come on kids, daddy needs a 7" diff.
Would much rather be without high quality sound than have tunes while on the side of the road when my 6" ring and pinion grenades.

Both of these components are really high quality, basically new, and priced to MOVE.
I guarantee you will not be disappointed if you're looking to augment your current setup, and you can do it cheaper and quicker than buying from the vendors.

Possibly, I do want that setup.
Still means I can't turn boost up since I can't afford your setup and another diff.
I knew I should have kept the last one...but it had been sitting on the shelf for months. As soon as I mailed it I was overcome with fear that I would blow up my 1.6L unit.

fixed
Thus the reason for sell. Parts I want have to be payed for with parts I sell now.
I want to turn up the boost, but am scared to death. My 6" rear has been fine for a year at this level. I'm sure as soon as it sees one more psi it will blow up.
Cheap Torsen local, and I'm still about $250 short.
