I saw the setup today. Welds look good, and I was really impressed with how exhaust sounds. It sounds almost stock, and certainly quieter than the aftermarked exhaust the previous owner installed on my car. Great for a daily driver, and for keeping a low profile.

Well until the zip ties went on my idle KPA was something like 50kpa. There are lots of small things that are "classy" on that car, now that I have a NB my desire to make the 97 nice has fallen dramatically.
Glad that you stopped by. Sorry I could not take you for a ride. I am happy that a customer has seen that I am making things, and not just taking everyones money.
I have had lots of people ask to change to smaller mufflers and such. I am 100% against that because I really do think a quiet exhaust keeps you out of trouble.

This is what it looks like right now.
Here's my port work. Third gear run, I creep from 7 to 8 PSI


The wastegate hole on my turbo was overall about 1/2" smaller diameter than the wastegate flap could control. I traced as much of the flapper landing location on the turbine housing as possible while assembled, then filled the rest in using a socket or something as a tracing template. I enlarged the wastegate hole to within about 3/16 to 1/8" of the sealing edge of the flap, or to the point where it would have ate into the sides of the turbine housing too much. I don't think I added too much exhaust pressure on the gate, because I'm pretty happy with my boost threshold so far.
I was able to get about double the range of the flap by grinding clearance for the rivet head, but I'm not sure my wastegate actuator is able to actually use that range.
