Is there any reason you couldn't make a kit that works for both motors with a simple manifold change?
Like so:
I ask because this is my plan, I'm already committed to Step 1, and you've done a lot more layout work than I have.
Like so:
- Turbocharge 1.6
- Blow up 1.6
- Buy 1.8
- Make 1.8 manifold
- Install 1.8, keeping existing turbo, downpipe, and exhaust
- Win

Send me a check to cover 10 1.6 manifolds and I will get them made. I need that many people for sure to even consider going that route.
I do not have a dyno yet. Hopefully within in next 2 or 3 weeks I will get it on a dyno with my 97. You can go find Braineacks old dyno's of the turbo on his 1.6.

I am sure I could, I just have no desire to do it. The head flanges I use are not available for 1.6 motors. So I would have to get them custom made. Doing that would mean I have to buy them in quantity and I have no guarantee I could sell them all. If you want to purchase at least 10 1.6 manifolds then I would consider it.
Milled ports and everything.

here's another member's dyno with the same turbo on the tacotaco:
https://www.miataturbo.net/dynos-tim...y-setup-56729/
he was using a 2.5" exhaust so leaving a lot of spool and mid-range on the table. I made WAY more mid-range than him.
I pretty much forced Lars to build his kits around that turbo.

I got my flange for $40 from Amazon: Amazon.com: FID-Turbo Mazda Miata 1.6 T Exhaust Head Flange - Mild Steel: Automotive
Milled ports and everything.

I made 240tq and 240hp at 13-14psi on my measly 1.6L with that turbo.

Looks good Lars. Why not make a bolt on muffler hanger instead of welding one onto the tow hook? Weld the hanger on a drilled plate and you're done. You will eliminate the need to deal with the hassle and delay of mailing the tow hook back ad forth.

Now I regret buying my siblings Christmas, that was well over $600 I could have put towards this thing for my NB!
do you have an initial cost or setup for after the initial people sign up and it is made public? If this is still a thing, I'll probably do a few small things I had planned, and get this around Feb. or March.
Looks good though, good luck!

You have 2 more days to sign up and hit that 5th spot to get the best deal. Also let me know who you does the coating and how much it costs. Just so I have that info that I can pass onto future customers.
