Car is completely apart at this point. I got the dash, HVAC, entire wiring harness, rear suspension, diff, and rear bumper bits off yesterday.

Ready to start shipping stuff out.

If it hasn't been swapped out, the only way you can find out is to call Mazda with the VIN short of Jerry-Rigging the test for VLSD

The stub axles on my vlsd were a give away (as in the open is all the same ears, vlsd has 2 ears on each stub that are different). A call to mazda confirmed it. So far the open vs vlsd diffs I've seen confirm that the stubs can be used to identify the vlsd... just on the ones I've seen though.
