Default Not FS, but for communal use: 3/8NPT drill and tap for oil pan

Hi guys,

I have a 9/16" drill bit and 3/8 NPT tap that I used for installing my return line fitting into the oil pan.

I am not offering this for sale, but will ship it to any member here who promises to post it back on this thread so that anyone in the community gets to use it.

Of course, you pay shipping to your location. I will ship anywhere in the continental USA. Just send me a PM and paypal, it will be on its way.

Thanks.

Very cool. Already have the tools myself but this is really a great opportunity for someone who doesn't have the necessary stuff.

I'd like to use it after 99mx5. I don't have many posts, but can give you a 'deposit' along with the shipping $ if trust is an issue.

I'll have one available eventually, late February. It would be nice if we had a few of these going around.

Sounds good, I'll shoot you a PM when I get home and I'm not on my phone. Ups.com says my package is close and will be home when I get there!

Yeah, I checked on it earlier. Let me know when / if you need the bit and tap. I want them back because I'm a tool fiend, but in reality they are just sitting in my garage.

BTW - Just so I don't forget: If you use my tap, go very slowly and carefully and ignore any instructions that say to run it in until you only see a couple of threads. My tap is a tad longer than what FM usually sends out (verified with pics and conversation with Keith). I nicked my oil pickup by blindly following directions instead of using my eyes and good sense!

Alex, you should have PM'd me. I would have lent them to you too. They started out as yours to begin with after all.

Awesome, and very useful. I've used that drill bit and tap a few times. But I have to borrow a larger drill because mine is the weak-sauce .

I now have one up for communal use. I will eventually need it again, but as long as we keep this rotation going I have no worries. PM if it is needed.
