oil cooler/oil filter relocation kits, group buy?

I would be interested depending on price and timeline, I am currently on the Thompson relocate kit list, as of about 2 weeks ago he was still waiting on 4 or 5 more people, and then was going to confirm the 25 and if all 25 were still going to buy it'd be another 6-8 weeks or more.
So basically I am not holding my breath!
So price and timeline? I'd love 2 taps for sensors (temp and pressure) on the block adapter if possible, if not I am presuming there wouldn't be any issues using your block adapter with a sensor ring adapter between it and the block?
Considering Thermostat for oil cooler kit?

you guys can do all the a la carte you want on this group buy, i just need at least 15 people interested in getting the block and filter adaptors, as that is what will be made specifically for the miata...
also you ask and you shall receive, i will go to tomorrow and talk to the guys at custom flo to get to addtional ports on the block adaptor....
if that doesn't happen... any sandwich adaptor should work so you can just plumb that in... the reason why i didn't include a sandwich adaptor, is that there are so many available on the aftermarket market, i wouldn't be able to touch the price of the china imports....
as for the sensor ports on the block piece (i'm assuming) that you guys all want it on the outlet... (yeah yeah i know... but i just had to confirm it... lol...)
i will get the price as soon as i can... as for turn around time...
it will take 2-3 weeks after i put the order in... so if all goes well, and i can get the price sorted out... 2 weeks for the group buy, and then you should have everything shortly there after....

addressing all your concerns....
i can't sleep, so i read through everything again....
this is totally over designed, over-the-top engineered, space aged material, but it will not take years for it to get to the market, and we are firmly planning on beating the competitors price,
by how much will depend... if you all notice the background of the photos i took, we are using the moss motor pieces as pricing points... i've seen the cobalt parts in person on several cars, and lets just say im not impressed, and at 300 for an oil cooler kit! no thank you....
I don't think it would be the best place to put a sensor port on the remote filter mount for several reasons.
1. it will not give accurate oil temp readings, you get the best readings right at the block.
2. the best method of running the oil cooler is to run the oil from the block to the cooler, to the oil filter, back to the block, so putting a sensor on the filter adaptor will give false readings as you will be reading cool oil temps.
the complexity of the design to have lines to and from and oil cooler and filter attachment in one, is not cost affective, simplicity is key here, having separated adaptors will be cheaper... i.e. the more crazy and fucked up the piece that has to be made, the more it costs, in this case it would actually be cheaper to have 2 pieces rather than one.... we are pretty commited to having the oil filter relocation method, as it can also be marketed to people who simply want an oil filter relocation... we want to be able to have this meet as many needs as possible... so when i go down tomorrow to talk to the guy we will discuss it... but i'm personally leaning away from the all in one adaptor...
also, if you end up ordering a cooler kit, you will be paying for the line per foot... so when you say you will want lots of extra hose... you will have to pay for the lots of extra hose... we are only going to make the oil filter relocation true plug and play.... there are just too many variables that we can't account for when doing oil cooler kits... i.e. i've seen many where people mount infront of the radiator etc, i mounted mine behind the radiator where the ac fan is... throw in intercooler piping/charge pipes, and everything goes out the window... again we can't account for all of this, so we recommend buying the hose locally, and or ordering hose by the foot... p.s. real aeroflex hose is expensive.... and heavy...
i'm pretty certain that I can get an additional port or two drilled and tapped into the block adaptor for sensors... again not difficult to do... however, my concern would be the tap size... unless everyone can agree to make it a certain tap size... personally i'm not too familliar with oil temp sensors, so i wouldn't know what size to make it....
if we decide not to have the block adaptor tapped for a sensor, the option of running a sandwich adaptor is still available, where the block piece will simply fit over.... there are many quality pieces available on the market and unfortunately, the pricing points are too low that we can't necessarily improve the design and or bring it to you guys for less....

Very interested... really more interested in just a cooler kit... leave the filter on the block... add adapter, and lines for a kit.
(you prob will have to go spec lengths for your cooler lines, or you will be giving away lots of extra cause i would for sure OVER ORDER to make sure my lengths are covered.)

All sounds like great news, I don't know off the top of my head but from my understanding most temp or pressure sensors use a standardized thread size.
However I am a fan of keep it simple and cheap, so while I would like a sensor tap on the block adapter, a sandwich style adapter would seem to work fine so that's a perfectly acceptable solution if it saves some hassle and production cost.

My thinking is oil temp at the block is influenced by block temp, not true oil temp. Then there are loads of arguments on which is more accurate, remote vs at block(via sandwich loc, oil galley...). Currently, my sensor is in the drilled and tapped drain plug. I could move it to any of the 2 mentioned locations.

Very interested, but want to make sure that it is of the highest quality, installs easily, and will be trouble free. Not crazy about things that leak oil, or reduce oil flow, so I am looking for something that is "over designed, over-the-top engineered, space aged material".

wassup guys, i had a long *** meeting with creative flo today...
we finalized all the packages NOT THE PRICE... (BUT I'M WORKING ON IT, TRUST ME I'M WORKING ON IT... LOL...) and we are adding lots of awesome ****... like super duper awesome **** to this group buy!
i will update all the FINALIZED packages tonight... (i'm not at home right now)
the owner of creative flo is going to speak to a manufacturer about getting the block adaptor piece on Monday... I have already scheduled to meet with him on Monday to find out the numbers... so it's coming...
everything else is ready, we have prototypes of all of it except for that block piece... but soon!!!
it will have 2, 1/8 npt taps in the block piece, and no prob on the plugs (that was actually finalized today... lol... )
lol... no one wants shitty parts... lol...
I will ship to anywhere in the world, we will figure out how much everything weighs and the best way to get it to you... (for example on the last group buy two of the participants were from Canada and Ireland, and on the current group buy over at club roadster, a clutch line is going to Norway, so yeah I will ship international, and we will figure out what is the best method for you...)
The first post will be updated tonight, check back on it.... (also my **** up) but I didn't have my phone or a camera with me, so I couldn't take pictures of anything, but on Monday, I will take pictures of everything we have so you guys can see that it is "over designed, over-the-top engineered, space aged material"
