I think more of the guys building these are jealous of my light weight and grip that VagaXT's hp. The other reality is that Vaga XT's hp, cost more than Savingtons' entire car. Think about that.

I have no desire to put $15k worth of HP into a Miata, ever. VagaXT has yet to set TTOD with his car and he knows that's going to be even more difficult now that the entire class is F/I, several hundred pounds lighter and with more comprehensive aero development. Last time I asked him about it, he mentioned buying another beater Miata to gut, turbo and get on level terms with the rest of us.

For now, we sort of have an unspoken gentlemans aggreement to keep it under 240whp for the lighter cars and no Hoosier A6's in Miata Challenge & Super Miata. Every one of us runs 225/45/15 NT01's. It's almost like a spec tire. It helps the Speedventures gives entry fee credits for each NT01's or NT05 purchased through Discount Tire. $20 each IIRC
