Adam, group buy? Lol it sounds like those of us who actually want one would rather just the tach and with the design iI suggested. What would you charge for that? Say we could get 6-8 buyers?

I'd be happy to make you one! However... did you want the special speed scale? That's where 90% of the work went. The pony and kitty were a few minutes of work together.
Putting a stock speed scale back on this would be quite easy.
If you (or anyone) wants to order something, please use my site. I can't take orders via PM or via posts on a random thread.
Individual gauges are $30 + shipping. That's assuming no custom work needs to be done.
Yeah, I was doing bbundy's gauge for the price of the gauge and throwing in the design time free. But he apparently wanted a collection of plastic gears instead of a custom designed gauge funded by a community of his friends.
I would have been honored to have all of this done for me and see folks chipping in. Guess I'm weird.

I still think he was giving a special deal, it'd have to be when you compare to the full kit price. He can't possibly sell a totally custom gauge that way. Anyway, I think I'd rather it be the RPM gauge... so the kitty's head twirls more.
Still need to go play with paint.

The gauges I make are out of an exotic plastic made to my specs with a matte coating that's quite delicate. They can't survive being touched by greasy hands or getting wet. So, while one could be taped to a beer fridge... you'd be better off just lighting a cigar with the $40.
And, again, please order anything you want through my site. Posts on a message board won't work as an order.
Sure. I could do a run of these tachs. I can't really offer much of a discount beyond the $30 per gauge + shipping, but I could do the design work on the house. It doesn't save me any production work to make ten gauges the same or ten unique gauges.

I'm confused by it myself. I have no honest idea why it happened or what exactly drove it. I didn't run any sort of sale, but in like 36 hours, I got roughly 2 weeks worth of orders. This usually happens around Thanksgiving when I do my annual sale, but... superbowl? I've never seen anything like it.
Best I can figure is 50% of folks celebrating and 50% of folks self-medicating with retail therapy. I don't know why they'd pick my shop. I don't even watch football.
Blissfully, orders are back to normal now. Still, I've got more work than I can handle at this moment.

I can't make something to put on your needle center... or could I? Hmm. I could do a domed insert like for my keychains. I never considered that.

So, who is in? I'll take one!
